As organizations realize that their human capital are the assets of a company, employees also begin to seek more than just monetary compensation. They want benefits, good working environments, and the feeling of being valued. Because of this increasingly complex business environment, the different mindset of the new generation who are entering the labor force, and the companies’ desire to decrease turnover rates, there is a predicted 9% increase in the demand for human resource professionals in the next couple of years.

However, because the people in this field have begun to make a name for themselves and setting the standard higher and higher, it is not as easy as it used to be to enter the field. If you find yourself interested in human resource management, see the Job Description Samples for the different positions in this field.

Human Resource Coordinator

A human resource coordinator is a hands-on representative of the human resources department. They don’t supervise anyone directly but are second only to the human resource manager or director. Their job, not unlike the HR manager’s, is to oversee and ensure that all four facets of the department are running smoothly.

Required Educational Attainment

Just a look at these Human Resources Job Description Samples would be enough to tell you that it is not as easy as it used to be to be a practitioner in the field. Here are the basic educational qualifications required of an aspiring human resource coordinator.

  • They should have graduated from a college or university with a degree on either Bachelor of Science or Art in Psychology, or a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management.
  • They should pursue further studies by attaining a master’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial or Organizational Psychology, or a Law degree.

If they failed to obtain a master’s degree or higher, they can be hired in non-managerial HR positions such as as an HR assistant or an HR staff.
