It wasn’t always this way but now, people who wish to be human resource practitioner have to go through years of schooling and training. The educational attainments required of an HR director includes the following:
- They must be graduate of a four-year degree or an equivalent. The required degrees are either a degree in Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management or a Bachelor of Science (or Arts) in Psychology.
- After the completion of their bachelor’s degree, they could be hired as non-managerial HR positions such as a human resource staff or an HR assistant.
- For aspiring human resource directors, it is required that they pursue higher education. They must be holders of a master’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial or Organizational Psychology, or Law.
Skills and Abilities
There are four facets of human resources: compensation and benefits, training and development, employee relations, and recruitment.
