How to Write a Student Artist Statement

• Know your readers

This is the first thing that you need to consider when writing your artist statement which can appear more of a contextual way and depends on where the artwork is displayed or exhibited. As an artist, you need to be able to gauge how far the understanding of your audience can reach or are they even aware that such an art genre exists.
