The Educational Impact Statement is used by DARE to determine if an applicant to DARE has been educationally impacted as a result of their disability. This information and the information contained in your Evidence of Disability documentation (Section C) allows DARE to assess if an applicant has met the DARE criteria. The Educational Impact Statement also provides background on your educational experience and helps to determine appropriate supports at third level.
Section of Educational Impact Statement (EIS)
This should be completed by the appropriate teacher in your school in consultation with you. This outlines, from your point of view, the impact of your disability on your education. Your response to each of the six statements should act as a guide for your teacher in deciding what information may need to be gathered to complete the rest of the form.
