What Is a Logistics Clerk/Officer?
A logistics officer is the person who is in charge of the delivery, storage, proper distribution, and tracking of goods/merchandise coming in and going out of a company. This job position can be physically taxing as well as mentally strenuous since it takes a combination of fieldwork and paperwork (keeping of record/inventory of goods).
Can You Be a Logistics Clerk/Officer?

- perform inventory tasks like seeing all the materials are in good condition and physically counting the number of materials that have been either deliver or shipped;
- maintain the accuracy of the monitoring sheets and other documents used for recording;

- assure that all the documents that are needed for receiving and shipping items are ready and available when needed;
- receive the materials that are being purchased by the business and assure that the number of materials are accurate with what the company expected;
- properly talk to the stakeholders of the business and assure the smooth flow of transactions that are being done with these stakeholders;
- provide proper storage for specific items that have demands in terms of safekeeping;
- assure that the storage area is clean and follows the hygiene protocols of the company; and
- assure that the working environment is conducive for the transactions that are to be made in the area.
