A comprehensive marketing plan must include the following details:

  • Executive summary or the overall functions of the plan
  • Situation analysis of how the current marketing plan has been working and the adjustments that are needed to be done for the marketing plan to be more efficient
  • Expenses per event or program. A breakdown of the prices per item needed to implement a marketing program must be present. This will help the company to prepare budget for the said programs or analyze if there are certain adjustments needed.
  • Sales forecast. This shows much money a marketing project can generate or how it can positively affect the sales of a company’s products or services.
  • Market analysis. The marketing team should be able to know the target market so that actions can be done to properly get a bigger market share.
  • SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis.

The marketing team must be able to create evaluation of the marketing plans that they have made to ensure that it can keep up with current situations and market trends. A company needs to follow the marketing plan but can adjust certain items depending on new emerging trends that only showed up after the plan was already made.
