1. Late Rent Payment Notice

As a property owner, you expect your tenants to pay your rent on time. However, there will be times where a tenant may be delayed with rent payments even if you have already given him/her a grace period. A late rental notice template can be prepared for this type of situation and be readily issued to your tenant. Should he/she ignore your warning or notice, you have the right to let him/her know that you will be willing to take legal actions to fix the issue.

2. Notice to Vacate Property

notice to vacate is a notice that basically informs the tenant that you would want him/her to vacate the premises of your property. This is usually given to the tenant ahead to ensure that he/she has ample time to prepare to leave your property. A brief explanation of why there is a need to vacate the property on the stated date is also mentioned in the eviction notice letter. This type of rent notice is usually handed out to the tenant if someone else is about to rent or lease the property or if he/she has violated the policies you have laid out in your rent agreement form. Violations that call for the need of such rent notice are the following:

  • The tenant has been late with payments more than once.
  • Illegal activity has been done within the premises of your property.
  • Damage has been done to the property and the tenant has not done anything to try and fix the damage.
  • Violations have been committed more than once and warnings have been ignored.

3. Rent Renewal Notice

A rent renewal notice is handed out to tenants if the printable lease agreement is not on auto-renew. These are types of rent notices are given to the tenant at least thirty (30) days before the lease expires. This gives them enough time to think about whether they would want to renew the lease or otherwise. It is your responsibility as the property owner to present them the notice with enough time to make a solid decision.

4. Rent Increase Notice

If you plan on increasing your rent dues, it is the right of the tenant to know that you are going to do so. This is where a rent increase notice template enters the picture. Increasing your rent can be quite a challenge because of the risk of losing tenant, which is the reason why there is a need for you to explain the reasons why you are doing so in detail.

5. Rent Notice to Enter Property

Monthly checkups can be done to your property to ensure that everything you have included with the lease is intact and that there are no damages to it. Barging in on your tenant’s property is not advisable as this invades the privacy of your tenant. Giving them proper notice of your plans of checking the leased property is part of your responsibility. It will also give the tenant ample time to prepare. You should let the tenant know ahead of time. At least one week notice would be good enough. You may also see tenancy notice samples & templates

6. Rent Notice for Repairs/Maintenance

Oftentimes, you would need to make repairs or maintenance for certain utilities such as water and electricity. If you wish to have a plumber check the plumbing in your property, you should give notice to your tenant that there might be a need for you to turn off the water source in your property and the time when water interruption would occur. About three days before repair or maintenance, the notice should be handed to the tenant/s. You may also like two weeks notice samples & templates

7. Transfer of Ownership Rent Notice

Time may come where you might need to sell your property for whatever reason you may have. When this happens, the lease is now transferred to the new owner. You can give notice to your tenants that you no longer own the property as well as the other agreements that you have with the new owner such as if the new owner wants to be contacted, if the tenant’s lease will continue up until the end of the lease agreement or if it will end immediately with additional compensation or otherwise.

How to Make Your Rent Notice Look Professional

A rent notice might be short but it should still be as professional as possible. This will give your tenant a good impression about you and that you take your business with them with a high level of seriousness. So how do we make your notice look more professional? Check out these tips. You may also see eviction notice samples & templates

1. Put a header.

The header of the notice is basically the title of your notice. It can either be in the center of the notice, right, or left—it all depends on your preference. By putting a header on your notice, it will be easy for your tenant to know what the notice is all about and they would have an initial idea about what it contains. This way, it will be easier to avoid confusion. You may also like termination notice samples
