- Utilities: Check if all utilities (water, electricity, gas, cable, internet, telephone, or internet) should be working properly at all times. Check to see if the garbage collection service is regularly disposing of the rubbish on the property.
- Electrical Outlet: Check to see that no outlets are cracked or broken.
- Plumbing: Check to see if the pipe, faucets, and drains don’t have any leaks. The drain must not be clogged. Bathtubs, showered, and sinks must be in good condition. There should be hot and cold water running properly.
- Appliances: Check to see if all appliances are working properly, and placed in a safe spot, and they should be clean.
- Ventilation: Check to see if the property has a working ventilation system. Windows must be in good condition (they should open and close easily), and there should be no cracks.
- Detectors: Check to see if there are any smoke and carbon monoxide detectors installed on the property. If they’re installed, check to see if they are in good working condition.
- Locks: Check to see if all locks, indoor and exterior doors, and windows have working locks. Since they are accessible on the outside, they must have operable locks.
- Wall, floors, and ceilings: Make sure there is no peeling paint on walls and ceilings. Those, along with floors should be free of defects and other hazardous materials such as exposed wirings.
- Pest: If there are any pests on the property, make sure they will be treated accordingly. Call the pest control services to deal with the critters.
- Outside space: Make sure that the outside space of the property should be clean and in good repair.
- Rooms: All furniture and other belongings in every room must be properly organized.
