Planning the Wedding

1. Early Bird. Start planning everything ahead of time. You do not want to be procrastinating one month before your scheduled wedding day. Vendors, wedding planners, photographers, videographers are all busy and are booked many times in a year. You want to make sure that you have everything under control a couple of weeks before the big day comes up. The last few weeks before the wedding comes up should be the times where you will make the last-minute adjustments for the wedding. You may also see weekly agenda samples.

2. Discuss. Once you have a headcount, it is time for you to start discussing matters with your husband-to-be and ensure that you both agree with what you will include in the wedding invitations. Some of the things that you would need to discuss will include the following:

  • Wedding Venue. You want to make sure that you and your fiance have an understanding of where you would like to have your marriage. Would you like to have it in a church, in a garden, or on the beach? You should also need to consider where the exact location will be. Make a compromise to make it easier for families of both you and your fiance to attend the wedding. You may also like sample agenda templates.
  • Reception Venue. You want to make sure that the venue for the reception will also be accessible for the guests who will be attending. If the reception venue is a bit far from where the ceremony will be held, take into consideration whether you will be hiring a transport service or if you will ask your guests to bring their own transport service. • Timeline. The wedding timeline can be a tough cookie to cut. You want to make sure that your wedding day, from the ceremony to the reception, will not be too long or else your guests will end up being bored. Preparations need to start early. For example, give about 5 hours for preparing the makeup of the bridesmaids and about an hour for your own makeup before the start of the ceremony. Plus, there will be photo sessions after makeup has been done will also occur. Make sure that your timeline is specific to the very last minute to ensure that you have ample amount of time for all the segments that you want for your wedding day.

3. Talk to Experts. Make sure that you take time in asking someone who is an expert when it comes to wedding planning. It can either be your friend or you may opt to also hire a professional wedding planner.

4. Hire Photographers and Videographers. You want every magical moment of your wedding to be remembered. Choose photographers and videographers who have a good reputation and will be worth the money. You may want to look into their wedding packages and choose one that you think will be a good fit for your budget and your wedding theme. 5. Talk About Finances. Financial planning is a must to ensure that you have enough to cover the estimated expenses that you will have for the wedding.

6. Organize. In your notebook, cellphone, or computer, start noting down what you have discussed such as the segments of the wedding and how you will budget your finances. You may also see training agenda samples.

7. Distribute. Once you have everything written down, make sure that you are able to send the wedding agenda to everyone involved such as your maid of honor, bridesmaids, vendors, and of course, wedding planner. This way, they will know where they need to be at specific times of your wedding day.

8. Announce it. Once you have the final date for the wedding, you can now start coming up with your invitation letters. Make sure that you ask the people you invited to RSVP to ensure that you have an accurate headcount.

Other Items to Be Included in a Wedding Agenda

Aside from the wedding program, you may also include the following items in the wedding agenda.

1. Songs. In every segment of the wedding, you may want to include what song should be played. You can specify songs that will be used during the entourage, during the time when the bride starts walking down the aisle, the song playlist that will be used while waiting for the reception to formally start, the song that will be used during the father-daughter dance and mother-son dance, and what song will be played during the bride and groom’s first dance as a married couple. You may also see sample staff meeting agenda templates.

2. Wedding Theme. The wedding theme can also be stated in the wedding agenda. By having the theme in the agenda, you will know what you would also need to include in the wedding invitation. Having a theme stated in the invitation ensures that the guests will know and be able to prepare what they need to wear. You may also like political agenda samples.

3. Decoration and Materials. In line with knowing what the theme of the wedding is, you will also need to include what decoration and material you will be needing for the wedding.
