  • Expert witness – This type of witness include doctors, physcologists, accuntant, forensics experts, etc. They are called expert witnesses because they have in-depth knowledge of the topic they will testify about. In court, they provide their opinnon on the case based on the facts gathered.
  • Character witness – Just like you character references, character witnesses vuch for the reputation of another person. These people are called in court to describe what type of person the defedant is. Charcater witnesses are commonly called in fraud cases.
  • Hearsay witness – There are instances when hearsay becomes an acceptable evidence. That’s when hearsay witnesses are called in court. Their testimony is about what another person said or wrote.
