How Do You Draw a Storyboard?
Ever wonder how exactly they make a storyboard seems so natural and fluidlike? The trick is simple: they are usually using a type of storyboard template as a means of reference and framework. In making a storyboard, most people use some forms of storyboard samples in Word format to get an idea on how to design and create one. But in order to make a proper storyboard, you will need to do the following:
- Identify the title of the project storyboard. If necessary, indicate the episode number as well so as to avoid confusions on the chronological order of the scenes.
- Identify the date that the storyboard project started.
- Indicate when exactly the project is completed.
- Identify the director of the storyboard project.
- Identify the artists who are involved in the storyboard project.
- Now it’s time to design the frame and the set plan.
- Create several tables to input the pictures. Each table should have enough space to add in the scene.
- Enter descriptions of the scene or image in the storyboards.
- Enter any dialogues that the characters in the storyboard must say.

How to Use a User Storyboard
What is a user storyboard? A user storyboard is a great tool for making stories, but the stories made are not meant to be used by itself. In most cases, the storyboard is typically used with other tools, such as an impact map and a story mapper. A user storyboard can be used as a sneak peak to the actual story being made. To use a user storyboard, it’s as simple as just filling in the blanks and adding the pictures.
Another example of a storyboard would be a photography storyboard, where the purpose of that storyboard would be to show photos or some images that would explain a story, similar to a visual storyboard.
