For most teachers, the challenge of educating students is finding ways to keep their interests glued to the learning process. Most school kids from the early primary years and even up to college need to understand how important the learning process is. A teacher’s objective must focus on developing techniques and planning strategies to keep the learning process exciting enough to encourage learning.

Each student has different learning styles, and while others thrive in lecture rooms that are enclosed to be conducive to learning, others get motivated when a discussion program is implemented. There are also those who learn best by reading lessons instead of explaining it to them. That’s how different learning attitudes are for each student. The challenge of the teacher is keeping a balance on the different learning interests of each student and accommodating their various learning styles. That’s why in the psychology of teaching, it’s often assumed that no student is slow in learning. It’s the environment of learning that contributes to the learning process, not just the teaching aspect.

Most of a teacher’s tasks is not just concentrated on teaching alone but in creating lesson plans that may involve a lot of work, given this is a requirement usually directed by the principal. Teachers are also required to track student progress. Gone are the times that students left behind in class are left to their own devices. As much as possible, teachers should help their students to progress in such a way that their learning process is not hampered by stress than it already is. Child stress is a real factor that must be considered and taken into account considering this will contribute to a student altogether losing interest in school.

A teacher’s ultimate job is to foster a learning atmosphere for school to be both enjoyable as well as a learning experience so that they will be remembered more for their caring ways in teaching. Classroom harmony is very important so that the teaching atmosphere will not be oppressive but conducive to learning.
